Y-PEER SOMALIA’s goal is to significantly reduce and ultimately end violence against children in Somalia through targeted interventions, advocacy, and community engagement.
Y-PEER SOMALIA aims to:
- Raise Awareness: Increase awareness among communities, policymakers, and stakeholders about the prevalence and impact of violence against children in Somalia.
- Prevention: Implement evidence-based prevention programs aimed at addressing the root causes of violence against children and promoting positive parenting practices.
- Protection and Support: Strengthen child protection systems and provide support services to children who have experienced violence, including psychosocial support, legal assistance, and access to healthcare.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the adoption and enforcement of laws and policies that protect children from violence and ensure perpetrators are held accountable.
