Y-PEER with the support of UNDP Somalia and The People of Japan, concluded life-skill vocational training for 35 trainees from IDPS, WLHH, PWD and the hosting community of Garowe district. The participants were trained on skills that have high demand in the job market such as Stove making, Plumbing and Solar maintenance. The project targetted communities that had the highest rate of unemployment or very low incomes. After the completion of the 3 months training program, they were given necessary startup kit tools to start working. This project increases the employability of unskilled Somali youth.
